Meringues
Ingredients
- 2 egg whites
- 125 g sugar granulated
- Pinch cream of tartar
Instructions
- Separate eggs and put the whites in a grease-free bowl and whisk until doubled in size.
- Add half the sugar and the cream of tartar and keep whisking until combined, white and thick. Whisk in the remaining sugar
- Place into a piping bag and pipe small meringues onto greasproof paper
- Place in a low oven and bake at 230-250°F/ 110-120°C /gas 1 for 50 minutes.
